Female infertility causes

There are several possibilities that can obstruct conception or ongoing pregnancy. The causes mentioned below are of such type:-

1. Autoimmune disorder. Under the influence of an autoimmune disorder, the body attacks its normal cells that it used to ignore. Autoimmune disorders, such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, Hashimoto’s and other types of thyroiditis, may impact fertility. The causes and effects of them are still not fully understood, but it is said that they may cause inflammation in the uterus and the placenta.

2. Primary ovary insufficiency (POI). In this condition, a female’s ovaries cease producing eggs and hormones at a young age. Women with POI have irregular ovulation if they ovulate. They may have out of order levels of pituitary and ovarian hormones as a result of the problems with their ovaries.

3. Endometriosis. There are cells that normally line the inner wall of the uterus, called the endometrium. Endometriosis is when these cells are found outside the uterus. They can also grow in the ovaries and in the fallopian tubes causing infertility issues.

4. Non-maturity of the eggs. The eggs may not maturate due to several reasons that may include obesity, PCOS and lack of nutrition.

5. Problems with the reproductive structure. Problems with the reproductive structure may include the presence of abnormal tissues in the uterus and the fallopian tubes. Blockages in the fallopian tubes and implantation problems with the uterus can give birth to infertility.

6. Unsuccessful ovulation. Failure to ovulate is said to be the most common cause of infertility. The causes of ovulation failure include endocrine disorders, aging, gynecological or ovarian conditions—such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and primary ovarian insufficiency (POI)—and environmental and lifestyle factors.

7. Uterine fibroids. These are non-cancerous growths that take place inside the uterus. The symptoms they cause depend also depend on their size and location. They can also be responsible for infertility.

8. Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Women with PCOS suffer from metabolism problems and hormonal imbalance. It is a treatable cause of infertility.

Other causes that can cause infertility are disturbed menstrual cycle, infections, implantation failure and stress.

Female infertility symptoms

If a woman has had frequent, unprotected intercourse for one year or more but she did not get pregnant, it can be an indication of infertility. Women who suffer pelvic inflammatory disease, painful or irregular periods and miscarriage are more susceptible to infertility. Men who have low sperm counts, motility and quality are more likely to suffer infertility.
