What is Hydrosalpinx?

Hydrosalpinx is a condition in which fluid gets collected within the fallopian tube. Hydro refers to water and salpinx refers to the fallopian tubes. But where does this fluid come from? • Hysterosalpingogram (HSG): an X-ray is done to detect the blockage in the fallopian tube. A particular dye is also used through the cervix to find out any blockage or the possibility of any fluid

What Can Cause Hydrosalpinx?

The fallopian tubes contain glands that create a watery fluid. When this fluid is collected in the tube, it could cause Hydrosalpinx. However, the causes of Hydrosalpinx are still debatable. But the following factors may also contribute to it:
